We only collect the personal data we need to seat you, feed you and get in touch about your booking. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it and the rights you have over it.
1. Data controller
La Tavola Italiana, Via Della Pasta 42, Roma, Italia · reservation@latavola.com · (555) 123-4567. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website and in the restaurant.
2. What we collect
Reservation requests: your name, phone number, email address, party size, date and time, and any notes you add.
Online orders: your name, phone number, chosen dishes, pickup or delivery time and, for deliveries, your address.
Correspondence: anything you send us by email or phone.
Website usage: anonymous, aggregated analytics about how pages are visited. See our Cookie Policy for details.
3. Why we use it
To confirm, hold and manage your reservation or order (performance of a contract).
To contact you if a dish is unavailable, your table is ready, or we need to change a booking.
To apply our cancellation policy where a card guarantee has been given.
To note allergies and dietary requirements you have told us about, so we can serve you safely (your explicit consent).
To understand how our website is used and improve it (legitimate interest).
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the restaurant, such as our website host, our reservation and messaging tools and our payment processor, and only to the extent needed to provide their service. Each is bound by a data processing agreement. We may also disclose data where required by law.
5. How long we keep it
Reservation and order details are kept for 12 months after your visit so we can handle any questions, then deleted or anonymised. Allergy notes are deleted with the booking they relate to. Accounting records are kept for the period required by Italian tax law.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to receive a copy of data you gave us in a portable format. Where we rely on consent you may withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email reservation@latavola.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
7. Security
Our website is served over HTTPS and form submissions are encrypted in transit. Access to booking data is limited to staff who need it to serve you.
8. Cookies
Our website uses a small number of cookies. You can read what they do and how to control them in our Cookie Policy.
9. Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date shown above. Significant changes will also be mentioned in your next booking confirmation.
